Plot twist: The Inquisitor and their party get trapped in the Fade and separated.
A wisp helps the Inquisitor navigate the Fade but in return asks for help in reclaiming seemingly useless artefacts, such as a broken chest, a weapons rack and a training dummy and a litany scroll, all of which slightly boosts the Inquisitor’s stats.
As more and more artefacts are recovered, the wisp begins to take on a more humanoid form and remembers more of their former life. By the end of the quest, the Inquisitor asks what was so important about the artefacts. The spirit answers; all of those items reminded him of a friend who was also once trapped in the Fade, but who escaped.
Before leaving, the Inquisitor asks the spirit if he remembers his name.

Alistair, stop playing with yourself…
One of the Morrigan cosplayers at Dragon*Con had an Alistair Doll from the Feastday Gifts DLC. She was an absolute sweetheart and gifted me the horse, but pictures happened first. This was pretty legitimately my expression when she started pulling all this stuff out.
